airfare to germany - too high?

I'm spending two weeks in germany in june, flying into munich and out of brussels (possibly) i'm from the east coast, US. Does $1200 (taxes included) sound like a reasonable price for a ticket? I'm wondering if the place i always go to (student travel agency) isn't giving me the best deal available (since it's the price i can find myself online) can anyone recommend a better option to look into?

I appreciate any help

You should find a flight for 600 Euros or less.

We could help you better if you specify dates and departure airport.

I would at least go onto Orbitz or Expedia and check daily as sales happen. I have never used a flight consolidator but perhaps someone could recommend one of those. We few to Germany last spring from Salt Lake City for less than $1200 but fuel prices have gone up.

Also try You're going at peak season so I wouldn't expect much of a break. But CO is having a sale to London at the moment (check to make sure of applicable dates) and you might be able to get a discount carrier from there to Germany.

I spend 1300.00 last Dec. to fly from MCO to Munich so it does not sound unreasonable to me if it includes all the fees and taxes.
