Airfare to Germany from Florida

Does anyone know what is considered a good airfare price from Tampa to Frankfurt (or even, just east coast of USA to Frankfurt?).

Planning to go and visit in mid-March, right now fares are $503 round trip. Do they get a lot lower?

Hmmm... I got Denver to FRA rountrip for this coming Feb 10-15 for $367 each. I used my corporate travel.

If you post your travel dates and the airport you wish to fly out of, I can check my corporate and at least give you a ballpark idea of what to strive for.

Hi marti,

I don't expect fares to go much lower.

Check with LTU, they are offering fares as low as $389 (plus taxes) from MCO to FRA via DUS.

Second the LTU idea, but would skip flying from DUS down to FRA; Dusseldorf airport is easier to manage than Frankfurt, plus it has a train station so you could catch a train to whereever you plan to go (including Frankfurt).
Also, check other airlines flying into and out of DUS for prices that are often cheaper than going to/from Frankfurt (for example: I have to go Chicago at the end of the month for business. If I take a BA flight originating in London, business class costs me £2300 round trip; by starting from Dusseldorf and connecting to the exact same BA flight in London, I save more than £700. Doesn't make sense, but I'll take it).

I stand corrected.

Thanks everyone. We'll probably go SRQ to FRA (right now shows $534) or TPA to FRA (503 right now). Still working out the details before we buy tickets. But can't wait. We've never traveled over the ocean so really excited to see a little bit of Germany!

Hi marti,

> We've never traveled over the ocean so really excited to see a little bit of Germany!<

I take it that you are of German descent.

You'll love it.

Just relocated to Tampa from Jersey. Glad to see that airfares are reasonable on LTU.

I haven't flown LTU in years They stopped flying out of the New York area.

Singapore Air is my absolute favorite. I am thinking that SRQ is Singapore. Am I right?

Have a great time. Germany is the absolute best. I would bet that you will be going back again after this trip.

SRQ is Sarasota/Bradenton airport.

Best wishes,

Rex
