airfare question JFK-CDG
I had a quick question for those experienced with getting great airfares from the US to France (NY JFK to Paris CDG)... I am looking to go sometime in May 2007... currently find fares of USD575 roundtrip per person...
I think this is a pretty good rate, but have no idea if there may be a sale or promotion that may save me some $$$... I appreciate all thoughts... |
I think that's a decent rate for May, which is shoulder season in Paris. Get it while you can- just read an article in one of the travel magazines suggesting that airfares are only going to go up!

I think that's a pretty good rate, also, which you apparently know. I don't think anyone can predict whether there may be some kind of fare "sale" somewhere by some carrier sometime in the future that means you will get a flight for the same dates cheaper than that for next May.
Surely you don't expect to get it for a whole lot less than that, do you? How much is your time and trouble worth to be constantly monitoring airfares and websites because you want to save $50 perhaps? |
Hi Kh,
$575 inclu is very good for a nonstop in May. Where diod you find it? www.mobissimo.com is offering EWR/CDG for $506, but it's on Air India. ((I)) |
I'd certainly agree with Ira. The fare of $575 to CDG from JFK in May is very good, not "decent". Jump on it if it's still available.

thank you everyone for your reply... I am going to purchase the tix now... I remember years ago seeing deals on British Air for NY-Paris for $120 each way ($99 each way to London)... but I guess those days are long gone now....
|
I remember a few years ago when British Airways had $99 each way to London from all airports they serve in the U.S. With taxes, the price came to about $297. I don't think that will happen again but it sure would be nice.
