Airfare.com too good to be true??

I just happened onto airfare.com and searched for flights from Atlanta to Moscow. Found a non-stop Delta flight for HALF what Delta shows. How can this be??

What approximate dates?

Did you click through to show final price after taxes and fees?

Hi S,

You can find deals on www.1800flyeurope.com, www.kayak.com and www.mobissimo.com as well.

It's sad, but true - many of the webites that offer fantastic air fare deals fail to include the taxes and other fees in the initial price they wave before the customer. Once you get through all the reservation and booking pages, the final fare is usually not such a deal after all ...

Sad but true is right. I just looked at airfare.com and AA. The same dates anad flights came to $770.00 on airfare ...taxes were more than the fare! On AA then same flights came in at $740.00

Here is another site...
Ira just booked for my daughter at $300 less than United\Lufthansa site
SFO-VCE-Naples-SFO $1011 including tax's september-october 2008
http://www.vayama.com/
and what is interesting they promise to get you refund if the price drops. Though I wonder how that will work out.

we used airfare.com this past july ....ny to rome, venice to ny ...on lufthansa. they worked out to be almost half the price, including taxes, if i booked directly with the airline. even the lufthansa woman that seat assigned us was shocked at how much we saved.

Good site I just checked and my trip is about 50 bucks cheaper. Of course you can go crazy doing this <G>

I booked a trip to
Budapest with them and they
are $300 less than Lufthansa
directly.

I've used them for domestic travel and been satisfied, no problems at all.

I a flight from SFO to Rome for this March that was $80 cheaper than airline.com

It was on airlineconsolidator.com, with United and Lufthansa, and it was about $300 cheaper than the posted fares on those airlines. So I would definitely check that site as well.
