Airfare.com?

I'm just about ready to book our trip to Italy through Airfare.com due to the price.

Can anyone give feedback if they have used them?

Try a search on this forum.

If the fare is significantly less than directly through the airline, and you decide to book, just make sure you've read the Terms and Conditions, then get your airline confirmation code within a day or two, then check the airline's website and verify that you have a reservation. Then, pick your seats (if you haven't already), or phone and pick seats.

Print and save every screen during the booking process, so if anything goes wrong, you can dispute the charge with your credit card company.

Is it cheaper b/c Air India is one of the airlines involved?

Booked through them a couple of years ago, then a day and a half later I received a phone call from someone who kept saying "you need rebook" I tried to get more information and called back and asked for a supervisor. He said to "rebook" in a don't bother me way!! Tried online and the fare had gone up more than $450 and the sales on the other sites were now gone. Not all was lost as a great sale came along a week later and ended up with better flights for about the same price.(direct with the airline web site) But I will never try airfare.com again.

Hi W,

Have you also tried www.1800flyeurope.com, www.kayak.com and www.mobissiomo.com?

I guess I am leary of using any discounter after reading some of the horror stories about airfare.com.

Is 1800-fly-europe any different?

The mossiombo link did not work. Brought me to a social security web site (??)

I bought my Boston to Rome tickets for this September through airfare.com
so far no problems. I received my confirmation within minutes and itineray as well. I called American Airlines and they confirmed all of my flights as confirmed and booked.

ira just spelled that wrong, it is www.mobissimo.com If you spell something wrong, you can some place that is nothing and just trying to sell you the URL or something, that's what happened.

Hi W,

>The mossiombo link did not work.

Sorry. www.mobissimo.com

We bought our tickets to Zurich for May with www.1800flyeurope.com. Saved about $120 pp.

Call them. They often have flights that aren't on the website.

They are associated with AutoEurope.

I've used www.1800flyeurope.com many, many times for Paris and have gotten preferred airlines, times, direct non-stop flights, for hundreds less than available anywhere else. I recommend them to friends all the time, but they seem to have the best deals from Boston and NYC (they are located in Maine).

They are fantastic on the phone.
