AIRBUS 330

Anybody flown on this plane? Comfort (HAH)??
seat configuration?? we are talking economy class here!

Jody, you can see the seat configuration at http://www.frequentflyer.oag.com/air...ts/seating.asp Air Canada has an Airbus 330. If you are going to your destination, just sit back and dream of the adventures awaiting your arrival. If you are returning home you can sleep! Economy class and comfort are words that are usually incongruous.Have a good time wherever you are going!

Hey, Jody! Are you taking this to Paris? Last September we flew the brand new USAirways Airbus 330 Newark to Gatwick. What a great trip! The configuration was 2-4(or)5-2. We really liked liked the two after flying the 3-5-3 on BA so often. Also, the video set up was the same as Virgin--all seats had individual pull-up screens and remote controls that gave a HUGE array of movies, tv, music, specials, etc. We each watched different movies and were never bored! The food was the same as every other airline--hit and miss.

Hey yourself, Mel,
No we are flying american, Orl-o'hare-paris, return London-o hare-Orlando. Probably a 747. I'm already planning next March's trip since I'm all done with this October'splanning!Found a great price on US air but as it was Airbus and we've never done that ,I wanted info. Flew Delta 777 this year in March and even though I had 2 seats to myself( david jumped into 2 empty bulkhead seats it was not comfy! I love the extra room on American even though BA is our best bet from Orlando, but we had more AA FF miles this year!Won't book yet ( price was just a little over $425.00) but will keep checking. We just returned from Paris onm this craft and the video system made the trip bearable. I'm a large guy so the seat was less than comfy but ok. The food was decent. The best way to fly in my opinion.

its a great cattle car. just moo on entering and you will understand later. seats uncomfortable, tv screen hard to view is you have bi or tri focals and someone puts the seat back, the aisles are very narrow, and the seat pitch a joke. that particular airplane is a POS

One cannot safely generalize seating configuration based on aircraft type. Each airline configures it's fleet entirely as it sees fit. In the case of USAirways, they have configured economy class in their Airbus 330s to be relatively comfortable with 34 inches of seat pitch and invidual entertainment as noted. However, seat pitch for most other airlines on transatlantic flights is a meager 31 inches. American Airlines is also an exception; they have just recently increased space between seats on their entire fleet. Expect seat pitch to range 33-35 inches on American, depending on aircraft type. The extra few inches make a huge difference on a long flight.
