Air Travel within France

Can someone give me some information regarding the different airlines that fly within France. We need to fly from Paris to Toulouse or Montpellier on our first leg and then from Nice or Lyon to Paris on our return. Looking for discount type flights. Thanks

Why don't you just get a French rail pass - you could travel most anytime day or night to those cities - save the time of not going to the airport and it costs a lot less.

Hi

As Rex has said, AirLib express is the most established low cost carrier. They fly to Toulouse,Marseille, Nice, Toulon and Perpignan. Check here : http://www.airlibexpress.com/

Also Air Littoral flies Paris-Nimes and Paris-Beziers, but doesn't seem to have flights Paris - Cote d'Azur. They are also cheap. http://www.airlittoral.com

Air France has the best routes, and is trying to compete with special offers.

Finally the TGV is 3 hrs to Montpellier, but longer to CdA. Worth checking the various fare structures to see if anything is competitive ?

Its also worth saying that Orly to Charles de Gaulle can take a long time.

Bon chance

Peter
http://tlp.netfirms.com

As Rex says, Air Lib Express fly from Paris Orly to Toulouse, Perpignan, Toulon and Nice, and back: http://www.airlibexpress.com . Also, Easyjet fly from Paris Orly to Nice and back: Easyjet, http://www.easyjet.com.

If those are your main journeys, a railpass would cost more than these two airlines. More, even with the trips to and from the airports flights are quicker than rail, which is 5 ½ hours to Tolouse, and to Nice. But it is true that Lyon to Paris by train is only two hours, so is much faster from city centre to city centre than any possible flight

Please write if I can help further. Welcome to Europe

Ben Haines, London
Don't overlook Easy Jet which has very low cost flights from Nice to Paris. The further ahead you book, the cheaper they are.

If you decide on Lyon to Paris, try the TGV. Lyon to Paris by TGV is 2 hours (and you can get to CDG from Lyon also). Flying is shorter, but check in, cost of transportation to the airport, etc., may sway you toward taking the TGV on that leg.
