Air travel from Paris

Are there any airlines (other than Air France)that fly from Paris to other cities in France and other parts of Europe. I am hoping to find a Southwest equivalent.

EasyJet flies out of CDG to Nice, and out of Orly to Marseille. Those are the only two places Easyjet flies in France but the fares and very inexpensive (much less than the TGV, I think we paid $38) and you could take the train to other cities. We flew last year from Paris to Nice and rented a car. Bon voyage!

Saudia, Kuwait Airlines and Corsair have good fares for the line Paris-Rome. They also sell one way tickets.

PS, EasyJet also flies to other European cities- Barcelona, Geneva, Milan, London, Newcastle- and Toulouse, France- check them out.

Thanx for the info!

letstalk, I think you are wrong. Yes, Easy Jet flies to those other cities, but not from Paris as the question indicates.

I'll let you know after i call.+

Well, glad I said "I THINK you are wrong". . . since I was! Those additional cities from Paris were new to me, with the exception of Geneva. I see that they are all now possibilities from Paris on Easy Jet.

By the way, jlbonaventure, Easy Jet has a very easy to use website: www.easyjet.com. No need to call.

For a list of European budget airlines, by city, go to www.flybudget.com.

The proliferation of budget airlines has forced most airlines to bring their fares down, so fares vary widely. For fares from some airlines - though not all, and not necessarily the best fares - www.skyscanner.net I prefer www.lastminute.com or www.easybookers.com for fares.

Airlines' own sites rarely beat these consolidators. But if talking to airlines is important to you, most of the world's flights are at http://www.nonrev.net/timetable.htm

jlbonaventure,

The following low-fare no-frills airlines serve Paris Orly and CDG

www.aeris.fr (French only)
www.easyjet.com
www.meridiana.it
w3.volareweb.com
www.skyeurope.com

In addition, Ryanair serves Beauvais airport, but it's quite far & inconvenient to reach:
www.ryanair.com

As mentioned, the majors are slowly lowering their fares as well to compete with the newcomers - so you should check those as well.

Hope this helps,
Andre
