Air India to France from US

My wife and I are planning a trip to France this summer with gotoday.com and they are offering a trip on Air India. Has anyone ever flown Air India? Any comments?

It's fine, just like anyother airline except the curry is hotter. I needed yougart to cool it down. They also were the last airline that upgraded me on an international flight. I would not count on getting upgraded again.

I agree with Elainee, I've flown with them twice to New York from London. They were by far the cheapest tickets, I love the food (you get yogurt with your meal so no worries there)Didnt get any upgrade though but for the cheap flights it didnt matter. Sat right at the back last time and our stewardess gave up lots of extra gin, a whole litre bottle of 7-up and extra food, we loved it. The person I flew with thought the staff (apart from that one stewardess) had a bit too much attitude. I would definately fly with them again though. Have a good holiday.

And, good news, there haven't been any reports of rats in the passenger compartment in over five years.

If you want to find out about Air India, you should do a search on the Asia forum. I have flown Air India twice. I thought it was fine, although you have to get used to many of the passengers walking around the cabin without shoes and socks. The food was quite good and I didn't think any of the flight attendants had an attitude. I think if I could put up with 17 hour flights to Delhi, you could take the 71/2 hour flight from New York to Paris.
