Air France strike is extended until 26 September
As the title says, the strike has been extended. AF is offering to change or cancel bookings free of charge.
About 60% of flights are affected. |
We are flying Lufthansa today instead of Air France. And yes they did 'reposition' us after untold hours on hold the other day, at no charge. Guess I only hope they are off strike by October 8 when we return.

We're planning on spending the winter in Paris. Please send cash. Merci!!

Thought of you when I read that, Tom. If you stay for the winter, can we meet for drinks in March.
|
Oui! Safe travels.

Be patient. Rebooking can take over 2 hours. Not many seats left it seems. Be flexible and NICE. These agents must be pulling their hair out

I did not mind the rebooking taking over two hours, what I minded was the reservation clerk not coming back to me on hold, as she had promised, so after 45 minutes it felt like we were an endless loop of 'hold music'. The second person, since we were eventually disconnected, did just that, came back every 10 minutes or so to explain what was happening between new reservations being made and the re-issue desk. I do agree this has to be nightmarish on their end.
In the end, the travel with our new reservations on Lufthansa went without problems yesterday; we have safely arrived in Zagreb to begin our Croatian adventures. Hoping that AF is not still on strike in two weeks since our return is with them. |
It looks set to continue. Maybe until Air France KLM goes broke. Suicidal action by greedy short sighted French pilots.

CDG is an Air France parking lot. Planes parked nose to tail along one of the runways. Security lines EMPTY.. waiting areas so quiet.. very unusual.
