do you mean the bus into Paris from CDG?

Robespierre Jan 14th, 2007 03:31 PM

or the shuttle planes from Orly?

Took it to CDG Terminal 1 when I was there in November. I caught it from Montparnasse 8:30 AM, it then stopped at Gare de Lyon, then on to airport ~10:15 AM. Full size bus, luggage underneath. Comfy, 14 euros one way.

Ignore last post - I didn't see Robespierre's, who already provided the link.

It;s a good way to get into Paris from CDG...several stops, but then you still have to take a taxi to your hotel.
We did it ONCE, got off at the Invalides stop (?) and then thought we could pull our luggage the "few" blocks" to hotel. Not much fun, but it worked and we survived!
If you have more than 2 or 3 people it is about as economical to take a Taxi STRAIGHT to your hotel from the airport.

There is also the possibility of a city bus.

Robespierre Jan 15th, 2007 12:05 PM

If your digs are within walking distance of Gare de Lyon, Gare Montparnasse, Porte Maillot, or Arc de Triomphe, then one of the Air France buses makes sense.

If you're close to Opéra, then the Roissybus is your best bet.

Note that either Roissybus and Air France bus drop offs are at or near a Metro stop.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Just returned from a business trip. Flying into CDG. Staying at the Hotel Nepoleon, near the Arc de Triomphe. I understand that the Air France bus leaves on a regular time schedule fm CDG and stops at the Arc. Thanks all for your response.

I believe that the AF Shuttle stops at the Arc...
I've used it. Was nice.

Robespierre Jan 22nd, 2007 11:58 AM

Yep, the stop is northwest of the traffic circle, at 1, Avenue Carnot.

If you use Google Earth or the satellite image of maps.google.com, you can even see the white roofs of two of those coaches parked there.

Thanks again to all.
