Air conditioning in Tuscany

When is air conditioning a "must" in Tuscany?
I am traveling with a couple who can't stand the combination of heat and humidity. I have found weather records for the past 5 years and Florence recorded highs of 33-35C ~ 94F three out of the last 5 years as early as the first week of June. Is A/C a must?

It's a must if you feel like you need it. Since you're from Phoenix the heat is similar.

I would definitely get AC in Tuscany. Early June can be quite hot, and you may want to close your windows to keep out bugs- from mosquitos to scorpions!
