air conditionin in Nice

I have found a budget hotel in Nice that is in a good location and sounds clean etc. but no A/C. What are you thoughts on no A/C in very early June?

I fogot to say that it is Nice, France about 5 minutes from the water.

I always have AC in Nice. But I can't sleep unless it is cold in my room. If you want a really low budget hotel 2* with AC, you might try the Hotel Amaryllis. It is 3 blocks from the rail station. I started staying there in the eighties and I still stay there every time I'm in Nice. www.hotelamaryllis.com It is a few feet off Avenue Jean Medecin. Lots of bakeries, fast food, Monoprix, and H&M within a few steps.

The good news is that Nice is not as hot in summer as, say, Nimes.

The bad news is that it can be humid.

I wouldn't worry about AC in early June.

I did not have air conditioning in most of France in July 2007. However, we did in Nice. I remember my daughter and I talking about how nice it was to have air conditioning in the South of France.

I'd take the advice of the previous poster and check out the Hotel Amaryllis. Nice can get brutally hot, even in early June.
