Agriturismo properties near Verona?

Can anyone recommend an Agriturismo property near Verona? Maybe a vineyard? Thanks!

Hi junek
You could try this website: agri-turismo.com; it is a multi-lingual site with agriturismos in different areas.

We didn't stay in one near Verona, but we were very happy with the places we found through "Alastair Sawday's Special Places: Italy" book. He has a website; I think it is: specialplaces.com. I remember that there were some properties in the Veneto.

Let me know if you find a good one (for my next trip!). I loved the Verona area.

Not a true Agriturismo, but one place to consider is staying at the Conti Serego Alighieri winery just outside of Verona. We stopped there to taste their excellent wines (along with Masi wines) and saw that they have a few rooms they let on the vineyard property. Looked like a beautiful place to stay. It's owned by a direct descendant of Dante Alighieri of 'Inferno' fame.

I couldn't find a link on the web but I have a friend in Verona & I can ask if he has contact info for them.

That is a good one, too, TuckH! Did you ever book a place from this site?

junek, there is a probably no hyphen in the agriturismo.com site.

Also try agriturismo.net

Good luck and I am curious about what you find around Verona.

The site for the winery I mentioned is www.seregoalighieri.it and you can read about their rooms available by clicking on the Foresteria link.

Thanks for the info. I had contacted Serego Alighieri before (it looks fabulous), but I am trying to find something a bit cheaper- we are paying in NZ dollars! I have narrowed the search to some places near Lake Garda - Agriturismo corte marzago, Agriturismo Antica Corte La Valle - Sona and Agriturismo Cà Vecia - Sona. Has anyone stayed in these? Thanks!
