Agritourism Tuscany

We are looking for an agritourismo farmhouse room for two around Sept 13-16 between Siena and Lucca. We've just heard about these and they seem to offer a great opportunity. We'reopen to all suggestions. Thanks.

We recently stayed in an agriturismo, but in another region so I can't give a recommendation, sorry. Just a heads up, speaking from experience: It was lovely, in a beautiful setting and friendly atmosphere. But if you don't like waking up at 5:00 am, make sure your particular agriturismo doesn't have roosters : )

Search and find Casanova Pescille just south of San Gim.

We stayed at the Fattoria Il Colombaio (www.fattoriailcolombaio.com) in Montereggioni last September. It's a small and luxury (4 spighe = the star system for agriturismo) agriturismo just off the road from Monteriggioni amidst the vinyards.
Location is perfect to visit Siena (12 mi), Lucca (57 mi), San Gim (17 mi), Montalcino (36 mi), etc.
I would go back there in a minute.

You can email them in English. Rossella, the hostess, speaks excellent English.

We stayed in a wonderful house in Chianti, well located for all day trips, the website
is fontedemedici.com

They have a rooster, but I am an early riser.
