Another strike in France : 3-5 june, airports

They had not yet joined....

We inform you that air traffic controllers' union have filed a strike notice for June 3, 4 and 5.

If this strike is confirmed, it could lead to the cancellation of nearly 50% of flights.

We invite travellers to check their flight status with their company before heading to the airport

Maybe we should post what is NOT on strike in France - could be a shorter list.

but meanwhile the impact of folks flying in or out that day starts now-

BTW - I would not bet a bottle of Belgian beer vs a bottle of French beer nor frites either.

I can't comment on the air traffic strike but we were briefly affected by a strike of french lock keepers on our Rhone cruise last week.

we were originally told that we might have to wait for about 8 hours to get through the next lock which would seriously have affected the cruise itinerary, but it turned out that the afternoon shift didn't want to strike, so we only had a delay of about 2 hours.
