Afternoon Wine Tasting From Aix en Provence
Hello! My friend and I will be in Aix en Provence and happen to overlap with another couple for one day (a Tuesday). The 4 of us are set on visiting the markets in Aix in the morning on Tuesday until 10:30/11ish and want to visit 2-3 wineries in the afternoon. We have done a significant amount of research but can only find either full day wine tours that leave at 8 or 9 on Tuesdays, and, for some reason, no half day tours depart on Tuesdays (we've emailed a significant number of tour companies to double check). We don't want to worry about driving so that everyone can enjoy the wine. Looking for recommendations of either a wine tour company we may not have found that does have Tuesday afternoon tours or a car hire service in that area that could drive us to and from wineries for 4-5 hours? If we do hire a car and plan the route/wineries on our own is it difficult to schedule tastings or can this be done easily via email (and in English)? We've also considered uber but given that we've had issues getting them in Sonoma I'm not sure how reliable it will be in rural France. Happily accepting winery suggestions as well. Thank you!

Suggest you contact the Aix tourist office. They always have tours and can suggest different options for you. Take a look at this link, they also have half day tours, hopefully you’ll find something which suits you. https://www.aixenprovencetourism.com/en/fiche/2832/ We spent two weeks in Provence last June but it was further north, towards Avignon, so I can’t recommend specific wineries near Aix. But I’ve tasted and liked the Bandol and Côteaux d’Aix vintages. I’ve always found Rue des Vignerons to be very good to set up visits, though this has been when we were driving ourselves.
