I had tea at the Ritz a few years ago and it was great. Booked it via email.

Thanks, Susie, for reporting back on what you have learned about the Waldorf. I think either of your two alternatives for tea, Brown's and the Dorchester, are exemplary of English afternoon tea and would be a good choice. I myself have booked the Dorchester for tea in early April and am looking forward to drinking in the opulence of the Promenade. (The others I have booked for tea the same week are the Ritz, the Lanesborough, and Fortnum and Mason's St James's Restaurant upstairs, which I have detailed on another recent thread about afternoon tea; I assume you have searched for threads on "afternoon tea"?)

I wish I were leaving for London sooner. Have a great trip!
