After Paris where to

Going to spend a week during New Years in Paris. My wife and I have nine to ten days after that to travel anywhere we want. Any suggestions. Have thought about Provence but some say this is the wrong time to go. We went to Munich and Venice after Paris last year and that was a lot of traveling for a six day time span. Any ideas???? Went to London too so were looking to try something different than last year

Thanks to new giveaway prices - - on airlibexpress.com - - here are three different options:

1. Corsica

2. Barcelona and Catalunya, accessible by way of cheap service to Perpignan.

3. Bilbao and northwestern Spain/Basque country - - accessible by flying to Biarritz.

Or Rome - - but then, that's not such an "original" suggestion.

Best wishes,

Rex
i am an american living in europe. how about traveling north to normandy- there are chateau's where you can stay. and also castles in some of the regions. spain sounds good too.

paris is our favorite as well. this year we are trying to think about which city to visit prior to spending 5 days in paris (over new year's). any comments on venice at christmas time? or berlin? those are the two cities we are considering at this time. for you, we would suggest london, brussels, or amsterdam.
