Hi,,
I'm going with friends to Greece in April and the flight times on Aegean are not working out all that well for us. It seems to me that more flights were available from Athens to the islands two years ago.
Would you hesitate taking the last flight out of Santorini to Athens?
We have a very early flight from Athens home the next morning?
Also, fares are higher than last time?
I know no-one has a crystal ball but any chance they'll come down before our trip?

Sign up for the Aegean Airlines email newsletter. You'll be notified when their promtional saver fares are released for April. It shouldn't be too much longer. It's also a good possibility that more flights will be added to what you're already seeing on their website, up to 4 flights/day.

Just a tiny bit of advice: it really isn't worth it to fly first class on Aegean if you are thinking about it. You are only up in the air for about an hour and the seats are not that much more comfortable to pay extra. The box lunch they serve is pathetic.

You can also check flight times with Olympic Air and Athens Airways. If your trip is within one week before/after Greek Easter (Apr 4th), it may be difficult to get a cheap rate. Good advice from brotherleelove about the Aegean newsletter. Olympic Air also has a newsletter, but it seems to be only in Greek!

I booked a flight on Olympic later in the evening (but not the last flight of the day)for 15E plus taxes and fees.

Well, sweetie darling, the last time Keith, Muffy, and I flew Aegean the taxes and fees pushed a 15e coach seat up to 120e.

I think our first-class seats were 200e per person. That is a one-way ticket.

Now, I just have one more problem............I spelled my husband's name wrong (switched two letters) when I bought the tickets.
I emailed Olympic Air right away but they responded that once tickets are sold, no name changes can me made!
I think that means I need to buy him another ticket??

No, you won't need to do that. They will still honor your ticket. Just take a copy of your email communication with you in case they notice. Chances are they won't.
