Advice on where to stay in Valencia Spain

My husband and I will be driving to Valencia from Barcelona and want to stay overnight in Valencia. Does anyone have a suggestion on where to stay. Something not very expensive

I stayed at Hotel Valencia Center sometimes they run specials and it was a nice central area. You can look them up on the web to see if you like

keepmovinon.. not really sure what you call central.. but being over by the science center is not considered "central" although it is a very nice area with lots of shopping and restaurants.

central, to me, is near the historic district. (quite a distance away).

Bus 95 will connect both areas quite well, along with another bus (19??).

downtown hotels will have the down side however, of having to pay for parking, whereas the science center area, if you are lucky , often has free on street parking if you are patient enough.

i must add that you must leave nothing visible in the car once stopped anywhere, nor just put things into the trunk before abandoning the vehicle.

there are a few hotels at the malvarrosa beach itself.

do a search on www.gtahotels.com and www.easyjet.com and come back with some that you like for your dates and we can help out more easily.

Thanks Lincasanova for the heads up on easy jet site...love the satellite option. I Hopped on your reply re: Valencia...I'm there for the last week of July. Not much luck finding anything on the beach 4 stars-ish. Any recommendations? Many thanks.

www.hotelneptunovalencia.com
hotelsolplaya.com

also seems lots of great deals (56-70 euros) downtown valencia. good bus sercie to beach, along with metro/tram.

always check hotel website also, plus www.ryanair.com among others. sometimes the price difference is amazing.. like 30% or more.
