Advice on Murren: are there luggage limits on the cable car and the small train?

We have a medium sized roll on per person and a carry on sized ones as well. We will be driving to Lauterb.
Would it be safe to leave excess luggage in the trunk of the car?
Will we have too much luggage to
take on the gondola and the small train? Thank you.

My information is about 10 years out of date but there was no luggage limit in 1997. I would not leave luggage in the car. The cable cars have been used to get cows up and down the mountain so unless your luggage is extremely heavy I don't think it will be a problem.

As long as you can manage the luggage getting it there should not be a problem. I wouldn't leave anything in the car overnight.

The "small train" that runs from Grutschalp to Murren isn't really all that small. You shouldn't have any problem whatsoever with the luggage you describe.

I haven't been to the area since the new cable car replaced the funicular, but the older cable car from Stechelberg to Murren via Gimmelwald is quite large.
