Info on Bridge Hotel and Le Meridian

I have reservations at the Bridge Hotel May 14-17th, and have the option of moving to Le Meridian for the 18 and 19th of May (the weekend). I chose the Bridge because it was close to city center and wish to walk/bike around even if my travel companion wishes to rest up at the hotel. Would there be any reason to move to Le Meridian on the weekend? I know it's a 5 star, but does that really matter when I'll be spending very little time in the room? Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks AC for the information. Five stars doesn't always mean five stars, I suppose! Anyone with information on The Bridge Hotel by any chance?
