check the Tan Hotel website, you have to book directly to get the free transfer! Maybe you can get the driver to drive you around other areas, but Sultanahmet would be enough for me with such little time. I rather walk than see from a car. You might try the fresh pomegranate juice they squeeze right there in the plaza. Delicious!

wow - haven't been able to check back in a while and surprised that the great suggestions keep on coming. We are going to have a hard time limiting ourselves. Thank you so much to everyone. Of course, whatever suggestions we can't use this time around I will save for when we go to Turkey for a proper trip and not just a stopover.

Oh yes, the taxi's weren't all that cheap from airport to Sultanamet, that's why I thought spending the night at the hotel with free airport transports. Might as well because you will also have a place to stay.
