I certainly want to make good use of my time that day we are to be back at the hotel for some welcome drink/talk etc. We went to Italy from JFK arrived in Rome early a.m. no one can believe all the did in one day. We had a private tour guide no lines he stayed with us all day. $$$ but well worth it. We had dinner that night around 9 p.m. and then we couldn't sleep!!! Too excited!

Tulips this sounds like a plan. We are to be picked up at 9a.m. and taken to hotel--we can store our luggage we will take off right away! There should be plenty of time. I will be up for a beer by then. Thanks Tulips.

I have returned and I must say I fell in love with Kensington Gardens it was delightful. As we had said and Tulips recommended we arrived early and took off the first day. I did the Palace, and Princess Diana fountain. (That to me is not a fountain!) I was somewhat disappointed in the memorial. I was expecting in my mind something else--I loved the Palace had the beer, went to the Cafe. We walked all around, the street of the Embassy building drop you off at the Cafe as I recall. A great day. The second day we did the Towers, big Ben, St. Pauls cathedral, and saw the wonderful Westminster Abby. It was spectacular. I loved London and I would have preferred and extra day versus the extra time in Paris. Weather was fine actually saw some sun!
