Advice for flights from Paris to Rome

I had asked this question a few weeks ago when we were trying to fly one way from Paris to Florence....seemed a big hassle and most required several connections and were very pricey. Now we are looking at flying from Paris Orly to FCO, then rent a car, eventually dropping it off in Florence and returning to the US from there. The international tickets are a done deal. So any advice on the best/most convenient route from Paris to Rome? I am not familiar with Iberia or Ryanair airlines or some of the International booking sites like Edreams, so I'd love to hear of anyone's experiences.
Thank you. We want to book for travel in May 2010.

EasyJet flies this route, and the airports involved are easy to get to and from. I wouldn't take Ryanair in this case, because it uses Beauvais. If you take EasyJet or any airline for that matter, be sure to look at their luggage policies to avoid huge charges.

Look at www.whichbudget.com and www.skyscanner.net for a good idea of the airlines on this route.

Hi Peggy - I don't know why you had problems finding a Paris-Florence flight - the budget airline Easyjet fly this route, using Paris Orly and Pisa airports.

Fares start at €30. When are you travelling?

For flight times/booking see:
www.easyjet.com

Pisa airport has a direct shuttle bus service into Florence.

Steve

P.S. Easyjet are also most likely your best option if you prefer to fly to Rome

Thanks for the info. I should explain a bit more. The day we leave Paris, we want to be in Allerona, Italy, a one to two hour drive northeast from Rome, as early as we can. Flying into Pisa then meant a bus to Florance & then rent a car (which we want for the next 10 days of traveling)& a 2 hour drive southeast. Then our next stop is just north of there in Cortona, so we could drive from Rome to Florence ultimately and not backtrack & drop the car there for our journey home. I am checking Easyjet Paris to Rome and also Vueling. Any advice on that one? It sounds like the luggage allowance is a bit better. We are not limited luggagewise on our international flight, just the one domestic jump. Thanks you for all your advice and if you have more input I'm all ears!
