My husband and I plan to go Europe. We will arrive in Zurich to see friends. From Zurich we would like to visit Prague, Vienna, Hallstatt, Lake Bled, Ljubljana and back to Zurich in 12 days. We have not book anything yet, but looking into Eurorail. Need some advice if travelling by train, the best route that will save time to these cities. Thank you.

Does the 12 days include the "see friends" time in Zurich?

If so, I don't see how you're going to visit three capitals and two side trips in the remaining amount of time.

Don't buy a rail pass until you've thoroughly researched the alternatives.
