Advance tickets to David and Uffizi

I read the postings and suggestion to call to reserve tickets for David and Uffizi rather than purchasing on selectitaly.com due to the mark up in cost on the website. If you reserve by phone, I understand you do not pay up front. So do you still avoid the lines by reserving by phone?

Yep.

Hi L,

In general, Yes.

However, there can be lines (especially at the Uffizi) for people who have reservations.

These lines are more shorter than those for people without reservations.

If you go in the off season, my experience, based on a Christmastime visit to Florence, is that reservations are not needed. We made them for the Uffizi, Academia and the Medici Chapels. The reservations were an utter waste of money for us, but, who knew?

Hi FSM,

That's why it is good to use the service provided by the museums.

If there is no line, you needn't get a reserved ticket and you are not billed for the reservation.
