We really liked the Adelphi on Cromwell Road. It appears to be some row houses combined into a hotel and has a lot of charm and a good breakfast. It is close to the Gloucester tube stop, across from which is a pastry shop and an ice cream shop and in the back a small pedestrian mall with a grocery and a Garfunkel's restaurant (not really very good but adequate if you are hungry). There is a post office and a bank nearby on Cromwell Road, and you can walk to the Victoria & Albert Museum and on to Harrods if you are a walker. Kensington Palace and Park are nearby, as well. We were there last September. If you think of anything else, e-mail me.
