Adapting in Italy

I will have to get adapters for my blowdrye and camera battery. Is it better buy in the US or Italy?

Oh, I thought somebody's going to adapt a baby, of all countries why in Italy :)

Hi Mizz,

They are not expensive. If you have a place near home to get them, it will be easier than looking for a shop in Italy.

You only need one, unless you want to use the dryer and battery charger at the same time.

MissEve, be sure you know whether you also need a transformer. The adapter will allow you to plug in to the wall, but the transformer is necessary for converting the voltage. Otherwise your appliances will become instant paperweights. (Oh yes, it has happened to me!!)

much better to find a drug store in italy and buy a blow dryer - they are not expensive and you will always have it for european trips - i brought mine from US with an adapter - it blew out - so the choice is yours - i chose italy - the camera may work fine with an adapter - never had to go that route

MizzEve-
I just bought mine at the local Target for $10 for our trip to Italy in May. Worked great. It is one unit but has mulitple adaptors for different countries in Europe, Asia, etc. Wasn't too big either.
