The Orange Line Alilaguna does indeed stop at San Stae.

I think the stops are Orto, Guglie, San Stae, Rialto, San Angelo.

After San Angelo, the Orange line also stops at Ca' Rezzonico, Giglio and ends at San Marco.

It is worth getting the latest vaporetto map, which also includes the Alilaguna services. Some guide books, and the Moleskine Venice notebook have vaporetto maps, which can be out of date.
