Actual experience flying Volareweb
This question has arisen before - - and it seemed worthy of its own post - - there is a very positive report by "alg" on http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34513585 - - the message header doesn't indicate in any way that the "plane" referred to is Volareweb.
If nothing else, this will allow others to read what it was like from someone with recent experience. Best wishes, Rex |
Also wanted to add that, in addition to our positive Volareweb experiences, my boyfriend used Basiq Air (Barcelona to Amsterdam) and Smart Wings (Amsterdam to Prague) this week and experienced no problems/issues with those budget airlines either.

We had a great experience on Volare last Nov from Rome to Venice.
Has anyone flown Meridiano?? |
Couldn't have been nicer or easier Paris Orly to Rome in March. Gave my husband bulk head, he is very tall, without us asking. We carried on a nylon bag with our clothes to wear to our friend's wedding and I carried on a bag of porcelain from the Portobello market. No problems.
Thank you Rex. I had not heard of them until I saw one of your post. |
BEWARE: VOLARE AIRLINES SUSPENDED ALL FLIGHT OPERATIONS TODAY, HAS CEASED SELLING TICKETS, AND ITS AIRCRAFT ARE SUBJECT TO BEING SEIZED.

It's really true! I was skeptical about GAC's post but I just went to volorewebs site and operations are cancelled. Too bad. I flew them Orly to Venice last month and they were really pretty good. Rats! I was hoping for that cheap side trip to become a regular feature.

Margaret, I did the same and feel the same way. It was great to be able to decide to go to Venice for the weekend, just like that, because the fare was so low!
