Acomodation for weekend
 

We are spending about 9 days in iceland. We would like to find a place to stay for the weekend where everything is within walking distance. I suppose around skaftafell national park or up north in Akureryi area.
Has anyone got any suggestions?

I guess you request a place where you can observe the SHABAT. The only place I can think (other than Reykjavik) is Akureyri. You'll discover tht many "dots" on the map consist of 1-2 houses... You'll enjoy Iceland. It is a great place.

Yes - you are right. But we dont mind a place in the middle of nowhere as long as there are places within walking distance.

I really can't think of a place that might be suitable. Everything is so isolated in Iceland. I'll be happy to help you if I know the area you'll be when you hit Friday. Myvatn might be a good place.
