accomodations near Skaftafell, Iceland

We(2) are looking for a place to stay near Skaftafell 2 nights in June. I see Hotel Skaftafell, do any of you have other suggestions or have you stayed at this hotel. I know there a re limited places and they are expensive.

Again I will point you towards booking.com. Have you read comments to your posts about Scotland?

I stayed at Hotel Skatafell, I do recommend it. It may look a bit old fashion and the bar on the second floor may take you back to the 90's but the rooms are comfy, warm, well equipped with coffee and tea making facilities, hot water shower and a lovely restaurant on the ground floor.

I also stayed at Hotel Skatafell and it is fine. Rooms are comfortable but minimal, Scandinavian decor. The restaurant was adequate for breakfast - i ate dinner both nights at the gas station (also a diner-style restaurant) across the street.
