Accomodations in Praiano

I will be on Amalfi Coast from 3Oct thru 17Oct and would like to spend first week in Praiano but was unable to get anything at Hotel Le Sirene. Don't need pool and glitz. Just nice room with view and good breakfast. Suggestions would be appreciated.

La Perla is above the street and Onda Verde is on the water. There are more hotels, I can look in my notes if you are interested.

That would be helpful S-U, in as much as Onda Verde is much more costly than La Perla

Take a look at the Hotel Margherita

www.italyby.com/hotelmargherita/index.html

and Hotel Bellavista
www.italyby.com/villavellavista/index.html

Just had a couple who I helped in their trip planning stay at the Hotel Margherita and they loved everything about it. They raved about the food and the lady that ran it.

The Bellavista is also priced right but their price is PER PERSON/PER DAY, not per accommodation/day.

I visited the Bella Vista, nice owners and a nice feel to the place, very low key and it seems like they have repeat visitors, everyone was enjoying drinks on the veranda and they offered us some too.

Friends have visited Casa Angelina and enjoyed their stay.

Open Gate is inexpensive and right on the main road across from the views. I met the owners and they are very involved in the community of Praiano. EVeryone known everyone else.

Il Pino looked nice, we peeked inside and looked around.

Tramonto d' Oro is right on the road with wonderful views but may be more expensive.

I stopped into La Perla one day, it is older but well kept and nice management. Above the main road on a little side road.

There is another one high above town but I can't remember the name, I'll check.

(I was in a rental there for two weeks by myself so I got to know the owners of my apartment and their friends who took me around town almost every day)

We have stayed at the Onda Verde and enjoyed it very much. Great location, nice place, and reasonable price (at least when we stayed there 3 or 4 years ago).
