Accomodations in Dublin
 

We (boyfriend and I) are staying in Dublin for 4 nights at the end of September (Wed/Th/Fri/Sat). Trying to stay in an affordable, clean, friendly, central hotel. Prefer not to do hostel. B&B is fine. Grafton House seems like the best option so far. Any other suggestions/ideas for less than 100 Euros?

My daughter stayed in the Central Hotel for one night in February. She was happy with it and said the buffet breakfast was good.

This isn't central Dublin, but the two of us stayed at Willow House B&B in Drumcondra in March. We chose it because I was flying out the next morning and we wanted to be closer to the airport. But, because it was right on a bus line, we also found it convenient to the city centre.

We were very happy with the room. Unfortunately, I can't tell you how the breakfasts are because we had to leave before they start serving. But she did lower the rate we paid. With breakfast, it would have been €40 per person.

Don't know if you saw this from my response to your other thread about the N.I. tour from Dublin or if it will suit you but we stayed at the Paramount in Temple Bar- I copied the hotel part below:

I have stayed there too and I might book there for this November too. Fantastic location, but do ask for a quiet room.

If you stay in Temple Bar I recommend: pints at 'The Oak' pub on Dame Street and cocktails (or just one - they are expensive!) at the Octagon Bar in The Clarence hotel (the one owned by Bono and The Edge). For traditional music get a bit off the beaten path (though still walkable from The Paramount) go to 'O'Sheas Merchant' on the Liffey.

They may be closed for accomodation at Trin ity in the end of Sept but i thinkits the best deal in town and I believe breakfast is included. Students atart mid oct so check the website if still available. It is THE most central area.

We loved Bewley's Hotel in Ballsbridge. Search it here for other comments. It's a short city bus ride from downtown Dublin or a very pleasant walk. We mostly took the walk.

Actually Bewleys I always forget and its a lovely building in Ballsbridge across from the four seasons. Great place and - minute bus to the centre...Ignore Almara they seem to be a B&amp;B in a housing estate too far from the city near the hospital. Fine if you want to live in Dublin but with traffic the bus is a nightmaare (I live in an area below this and its better. ALso my god the traffic on the bus from town Rush hour and the one that goes from DCU to Clntarf via the hospital is awful. Please stop advertising this is not allowed and some of us live in Dublin and are well able to let them know the inns and outs of each area. I wish your business the best but please cease its not an advertising forum.

I just glanced at the Bewley's Ballsbridge website and it says E109, every room, every night.
