Accomodation review websites?

Apart from Rentvillas.com is there any other accomodation website that also give you reviews by people who have stayed there?
Where off to Italy (primarily Tuscany) in Sept and need some rental help.
A lot of them look great , but without prior knowledge it's seems a bit of a lucky dip......I guess??
Thanks in advance.
Cheers
Marc

Venere.com has links to reviews for many of their hotels, but not all.

Slowtrav.com is a leader in rental reviews and Italy is it's strong point. Go there. You'll be amazed at the breadth and depth of the information, a good bit of it supplied by people who've visited or lived there for years.

It is a bit hard to navigate. Go to the SlowTrav.com branch of the site and if you look carefully, you should find the reviews.

The best one with independent reviews from guests is www.tripadvisor.com and then make a seach of the accommodation provider by name or location. It tends to very good. Be careful of those places which have very poor reviews followed by excellent reviews as very often it appears that the poor reviews are put on by genuine guests / travellers whilst the excellent reviews are then manipulated to offset the true poor reviews.
I would tend to go with the ones where the reviews are consistent five star / four star. There will always be the one which may be different from the rest but we all know on an off day we can all find something wrong with something or soimebody,

It takes 4-5 clicks to get to the reviews on slowtrav. Click 1st on the country, then vacation rentals, then reviews. You'll have to choose a section of the country (for instance, "Tuscany") to see specific reviews.
