accomodation in Beaune

We're leaving for a 2 week Spain/France trip today (OHMYGOD!) and have not reserved a place to stay in Beaune. Any last minute recommendations. We'd like to spend under $100, but have charming, family-feel atmosphere. Thanks!!

Barbara, in 1994 I stayed at the Hotel Le Cep in Buenne. I recall a large room, although I do not recall the price. It was centrally located permitting us to tour the city on foot.

Hope this helps. Have a great trip!

Thanks for your suggestion. I was actually looking at that hotel because it is recommended by Karen Brown. The rate, even off-season, is 153Euro. But, who knows, if it is still available when we get there, maybe they'll negotiate.

Hi, Barbara: We stayed at the Quality Hotel La Closerie (56 Euros, booked through placestostay.com). It was outside the town circle, so we drove about 2 minutes to get to the village, where there is plenty of parking surrounding the main town area.
We loved Beaune -- the Hospices was one of the highlights of our trip to Europe. We also had a wonderful dinner at La Grilladine.
Pam B.
Hi

I stayed in Beaune last spring. I stayed at Le Terminus, which is near the train station, a short walk from the town proper. I believe it was on Rue de Huit Septembre (the name comes from the day it was liberated as a matter of fact).

Don't let the fact that it's near the train station dissuade you, it's a small town (short walk), it's quite safe, and the hotel was cute if not fancy shmancy.

It was quite comfy and cosy, I would put it above a 2 star definitely. I recall spending about 60 euros for a double including breakfast.

It was on the logement de France website if I recall.
