Accommodations in the 6th
Does anyone have a suggestion for a family-friendly hotel in the 6th Arr? (Near Pantheon/Jardin du Luxembourg)
|
Try Hotel de La Fleurie.

Hi S,
We always stay at the Hotel Bonaparte, 61 Rue Bonaparte in the 6th. From 128E dbl w/bkfst. It is located near 3 metro stops. Has AC and an elevator. It is about 2 blks N of the Luxembourg Gardens. Tel 33 1 43 26 97 37 FAX 33 1 46 33 57 67 [email protected] www.hotelbonaparte.fr For more info, enter "Hotel Bonaparte" in the "search this forum" box. Photos are at http://tinyurl.com/ludgd ((I)) |
Hotel Pantheon, Hotel des Grands Hommes, Hotel des Ecoles, check out tripadvisor.com for good hotel reviews on Paris forums.
Google hotels and read their websites. Also , what is your budget in euros,, it helps narrow down list. |
Thank you for the great suggestions. Hotel Bonaparte has quoted us a price about 1/2 the expense of another of which we had been inquiring.
As far as a budget goes, we only need a room for 1 night as we are coming to and from on the Eurostar from London. (We are from the states, but are renting a flat there for an extended period). That being said, we would like to avoid overspending if possible... |
Hotel Clement on rue Clement....get a room on a high floor and facing the street. It's on a quiet square, one block south of Blvd. St. Germain and and rue de Seine crosses rue Clement to the east of the hotel. Great location. Happy Travels!

Yes, and Hotel le Fluerie is also in an excellent location, but will probably be more expensive than Hotel Clement. Happy Travels!

My sister and I stayed at Hotel du Lys (www.hoteldulys.com)on Rue Serpente in August- lovely romms, very clean, and very calm, and great staff. We did have to climb a flight of stairs or two with our luggage though.
|
Recently returned from Paris with eight friends. We stayed at the Hotel Claude Bernard on Rue Ecoles right near the Sorbonne. Very nice hotel. Great staff and exceptionally clean. Breakfast we good as well.
|
I don't think Hotel Bonaparte has a/c which would account for good rate. If travlleingin July or Augsut a/c is nice, if not , then you could most likely do without.
|
Hotel Le Clement is nicely located near some excellent restaurants and Blvd. St. Germain. Rates are much lower than La Fleurie and Le Clement has a/c as the last poster mentioned.
|
Hotel Bonaparte has air con listed as a feature.
