I have used LondonConnection rental apartments twice and have had good results. They answered phone calls immediately (US office) prior to trip as well as on the trip (London office- immediately sent someone out to fix front door on one apt. and how to reset WIFI on another).

Hi Grace, I use Onefinestay in London, they have some very nice properties, and good service.

Thanks dorfan2, seamus and Tulips for the recommendations. I'm very frustrated with the communications issues with London Perfect and after several emails--with three different people--I've yet to find a suitable apartment. I'm trying to stay at the $2,000-2500 level, but their apartments, even with a significant discount, jump from $2400 to $3500 a week for a one bedroom. Granted, they are in the best areas of town--Kensington, Chelsea--but it just seems a bit pricey given the competition. I really loved my experience with Paris Perfect, so I hate to give up on them. This shouldn't be so difficult!

Thanks tuscanlifeedit--

We stayed at the Villiers St. 1 bedroom apt. with London Connections last March. Noticed the rates are $2000/wk approximately. It is very centrally located - right next to the Charing Cross and Embankment tube stations adjacent to Trafalgar Sq./Covent Garden area.

dorfan2, that apartment looks good & pricing is great. I only see photos of the bedroom and bathroom. Do you recall if there's a sofa bed in the living room? I'm traveling solo to visit my daughter (she's a rad student) & I'll need a place for her to sleep overnight. Thanks for your help.

I don't think it's a sofa bed, but it was so comfortable that I fell asleep on it once (not a long sofa).

Here's the link to the apt. - click on the right arrow inside the row of photos under the large photo and you can see the sofa. In March, the living area was arranged a different way - the TV was on the window wall and the sofa was along a non-window wall.
