Accommodation Suggestion Amsterdam, Prague, Vienna, Italy and Paris

Hi,

I am visiting Amsterdam, Prague, Vienna, Venice, Florence, Rome and Paris.
Can I have suggestion whether is it better to rent from Airbnb or hostel/hostel for each city?
Well, I am on a budget. So please don't suggest expensive hotel. Thanks.

We stayed at an Airbnb accommodation in Amsterdam – basic but clean – which was within walking distance, without luggage, of the train station.

Look up my trip report; click on my name to find it.

What is your budget per night in euros.. its impossible for us to give ideas without a clue to what you can afford.

Hostels can be very cheap for one person.. but for two or three people a cheap hotel room can be about same price.. Are you going alone?

In Paris there has been a crack down on illegal apartment rentals..so do be wary.

100 euros per night is ok for Italy. If you are traveling in the hot summer months, be sure to get air conditioning. You need to be able to close the windows because of mosquitoes and noise.

Look on booking.com and venere.com as well as AirBnB for places to stay. Read reviews. I don't know anything about hostels except I think you can find reviews of them on bootsnall.com.

My friend and I stayed at hostel Downtown in Prague in December 2014. It's located next to Wencelas Square and is close to most of the sights. Very clean and nice, have a lot of activities happening everyday (guided tours, beer tasting, pub crawl etc.), and most importantly it's very cheap. For Vienna we used airbnb, it was cheap and nice and tidy. For Amsterdam, use airbnb too.

Hotel St Pierre near the Sorbonne in Paris.
Excellent location !! Very central but on a quiet street off a busy street .

Walk to Notre Dame, Louvre, Orsay, Cluny.. enjoy the shops and cafes of the Latin Quarter and St Germain ..

Rooms are small, plain.. but very clean and they have good air conditioning. I did say rooms are small right.. ok.. just remember that.. lol

Staff are nice.

Close to all great metro and RER stations /lines.

I have stayed there twice and both times paid less then 100 euros. Staying 3 or more nights gets better rate..

Just noticed their rates have gone up.. but they still offer cheap deals for August dates.. when are you going ( don't say June,,its most expensive month.. lol )

Look at St Christophers or MIJE hostels.. both decently reviewed.. I had a workmate stay at the St Christophers by Canal Martin and she liked it.. and met at girl staying in the MIJE and she liked it..

I am going mid-end of April. My husband and I prefer cold rather than hot weather. I will bookmark the suggestions. Anymore?
