Accommodation in Devon and Cornwall England

Can anyone recommend which towns/cities to stay in if travelling in the Devon/Cornwall area for a week exploring the tourist spots. Which are better B&Bs or hotels if looking for economical prices between 50-100 pounds per room? Travelling in March/April 2008

Interestingly, I just called myself that on this board a few days ago.

Here's my Devon/Cornwall trip report. Maybe you'll find some info that will hellp you in your planning.

Exeter has some nice pubs and the Cathedral is always worth a visit, we often go down to the south coast to the English Rivera which is very tranquil. The official Devon website has some good ideas.

If it's still there, Tor Cottage was a lovely b&b about 7 years ago. It's almost on the line between Devon and Cornwall.

Rented a house in Devon near Axminster about 3 years ago:

Was about 5 miles from Lyme Regis and we took day trip to towns around.

Loved the area.
