Accommadations in Paris
We are a family of 4 spending 3 nights in Paris at the end of July. We are having trouble finding a place to stay in Paris. We are looking for a good location, something that can put the 4 of us in beds (husband, wife, 2 teenage boys), and not crazy expensive (perhaps no more than 200 - 250 a night, although less would be great.) We have been looking at B & B's, apartments, and hotels. Help!

$200 or €200?
You could start with Venere, narrow down the areas, sort by price. You could search the TripAdvisor forum. Someone posted a list of hotels with quad rooms, if that's what you have in mind. Otherwise, search "family" for a lot of great ideas. Few apartments are available for a three night stay, especially during peak months. |
Type in the Search box, "Paris Hotels Left Bank Thread" and I have a hotel thread. The Left Bank one is linked to the Right Bank one. Happy Travels!

Is that 200 - 250 per room per night? Or are you thinking of a hotel with 2 rooms for total 250 per night. And please define the currency.

Hi Anar,
In Paris, we always stay at the Hotel Bonaparte, 61 Rue Bonaparte in the 6th. From 138E dbl w/bkfst. It is just around the corner from Place St. Sulpice, near 3 metro stops and 4 bus routes. Has AC and an elevator. Rm 23, or its equivalent (all of the floors are laid out the same) is a double with a twin right next to it. You could get both rooms for about 275E w/bkfst. http://www.france-hotel-guide.com/en....php?langue=en is not at the center of things, but is close to a metro stop. It was recommended by another Fodorite. A quad is about 75E/night. Bkfst is 8E pp. Enjoy your visit. ((I)) The staff speaks English well, and is very helpful. The front desk is staffed 24/7 They can arrange a shuttle pickup to/from CDG for you. Tel 33 1 43 26 97 37 FAX 33 1 46 33 57 67 [email protected] www.hotelbonaparte.fr For more info, enter "Hotel Bonaparte" in the "search the forum" box. You might also find these helpful. The Hotel Familia in the Latin Quarter has a quad room for 196 euro, but I would get two doubles for just a little more (210 euro or so).

I've been looking for a hotel in that time period, also, and ran across severeal that had communicating rooms, if I can remember which they were. But before I try to figure it out, what is your budget, euro or dollar? It makes a big difference (although not as much as it used to, thank goodness, but it's still a 25 pct difference). What you want isn't impossible (the quad probably is) at your rate, you need to find a hotel with doubles around 100 euro, and there are some.

oh, and it would also help to state the age of those boys. A 13 yr old is a lot different than a 19 year old, and some hotels consider adults over age 15, some age 12, etc. But if they are both age 17+ you will need something different than if they were a 19 and 13 year old, perhaps.

www.vacationinparis.com has a number of apartments that should work for you. Three night rentals are available by paying a surcharge. For many, it would still fit your budget. We have used ViP and had a good experience. They are a NJ company and thus you pay in dollars and can use a credit card unlike most apartment rentals.

If you want to be in a very central location, you can try the Timhotel Le Louvre, I am quite sure there are rooms for 4 people.
http://www.h-louvre.com I think in July, prices are lower, it would fit your budget. |
www.beau-paris.com has an apartment near Eiffel Tower. I stayed there and I highly recommend it. I also stayed in a residential area in Rue Beuret. I recommend those two.
