Access to Rome from other European Cities
Traveling to Rome in June. Best airfare may end up being another major European city, so my question is, which other cities have best train access to Rome, including best connection to train from airport?

If you have only the single destination why would you want to pay for a plane and a train to get there as well as the extra baggage handling involved? Incidentally I always find Paris the more expensive destination.

Thank you! These comments make sense, though I didn't know a train would cost more. I read the suggestion on another forum, is where I got the idea. IS there such a thing as a budget flight? That's encouraging! Currently I'm seeing price variations of only about $200 at most, which would not be worth it....but, say, $500 would be.

Look at www.skyscanner.com. But read the conditions and luggage restrictions before booking.

A variation of $200 may not be a savings when you consider the extra cost and wasted time of getting from the city to Rome. Whichbudget.com can show you quickly which budget airlines connect with Rome.
