Any recommendations out there for some honest tour companies that offer some cheap tour packages for the city of Rome?

What do Italian women think of American men? That question wasn't answered. But if you are thinking of picking up some Italian gal for a night or two most Italian females are so use to being hit on by Italian men they really know how to ignore fellows. They just don't take flirting all that serious. Of course there are the exceptions. Some even want to be paid if you know what I mean. They are usually not Italian women however.

I'll be sure to steer clear of the "professionals". I was just wondering if Italian women have certain preconceived notions of American males.

Well, as to the women, they really like it if you bring them some cigarettes, maybe some nylons and a Hershey bar. I've also heard that a nice can of Spam is a favorite, as meat is so hard to find.

For the cheapest way to go, why not consider a do-it-yourself package? There are numerous travel forums with all aspects of independent and/or solo travel covered. You pick the lowest-fare plane ticket with the best departure/arrival times and connections to fit your needs, lodgings within your limits and in your desired location and you get to see the sites at your pace and within your budget. You don't need to pay a tour company to plan your trip unless that is your preference.
