Abruzzo - Sulmona vs L'Aquila
 

We are planning a trip to Italy next Spring, and are going to see Abruzzo for the first time. We want to explore and get to know some towns in the area. What are the must see places, and if you had to choose a base for a few days, would you choose Sulmona or L'Aquila, or somewhere else? Thank you!

I would probably choose Sulmona, but it really depends on what your interests are.
