About booking Italian train tickets

My friend and I are planning travel through Italy in couple weeks time. I am booking tickets on http://www.trenitalia.com/ for traveling from Napoli to Rome. After I click into the train option. There are few different offers at left hand side. They are base, economy, super economy,Cartafreccia Senior Da 60anni,Cartafreccia Young Fino 26anni and Speciale Av. The default choice on the page for us is Speciale AV. I just wondering if we are entitle to it or not? We are not students and we are not from Europe and we going to book the one around 19:30

Thanks

Hi there

Speciale AV means there are restrictions however none of them related to your concerns. If you book this ticket you cannot change the reservation, ticket, reimbursed, or train. Basically, if there are any changes in plans you are out of pocket, period. I believe it is a discounted price of 50% based on the days you book, through December 2015. This is basically a special they are running.

The most important thing is that you can a seat assigned. No trip is worth a couple of hours on your feet.

You can also try Italo trains, just to compare prices:

Best of luck

Thank you very much Laura. I just compare the Italo trains and there is no train scheduled at that time. It's a valuable info. Again,Thank you for you answer.
