Oh, no. Someone mentioned that April is a school holiday month (I think it was Ben Haines). Why in the world do they ever let those little bugers loose on the world. Can anyone tell me when the holidays are in April so I can avoid them? <BR> <BR>Thanks for any help. I had some punctuation marks left over from a term paper I did on Emanuel Kant several years ago and had been saving them, but as they earn no interest,just thought I'd share them with everyone in the message title. It seemed appropriate at the time.

If you want a serious answer I would expect the school holidays in the UK correspond to Easter time and what the schools call Spring Break here. Easter comes fairly late this year, April 23rd. Of course spring break in many places is in March and then the kids get off again around Easter for a few days too in the U.S. - perhaps someone in the UK can give actual dates for break there, actually I would be curious to know myself as we will be in London over Easter this year.

In Belgium easter holidays are from 8th until 24th April 2000. Don't know for the other Euro countries.

Take a hint!....either you were born an adult, or had a horrible childhood. Why should children not be exposed to the rest of the world. Do you want them to grow up and be ignorant like you?

Sheila, Cyrano, <BR> <BR>Me Three... <BR> <BR>Having just spent a week in Fuerteventura ,in the Gran Canaries, for work, during half term (in UK anyway) and having the great misfortune to have to stay in a superfamily hotel, I can safely say I would want to avoid such a scene on my own holidays...

Although most people claim to like children, in fact they only like THEIR OWN children who are more important than <BR> anything else (especially YOUR children but including your safety & sanity). <BR>I try to avoid school hols when travelling. <BR>It's not so much the crazy irrational parents, I think the worst thing is the reminder of just how horrid I was at that age.

Uk school holidays in April vary a bit from school to school. My son is off from 5th April to 26th April and then has half term holiday in first week of June.

Thanks everyone for the information. It appears the last week of April will be safe from school holidays. I know May 1 is a holiday, but one can survive a few days of crowded venues, and even enjoy them with proper planning, but would hate to spend a full two weeks trying to avoid crowds. <BR> <BR>Thanks, again, for the information.

Sorry to disappoint you but my kids go to school in Essex England and their school hols are 17th April to 1st May <BR>so i think is safe to say dont go away in April.

Well - this has been an interesting thread to read through..... BUT - could someone seriously enlighten me as to the problem with school hols in England, Belgium, Holland, where I will be spending the month of April????? <BR> <BR>I would have thought running into busloads of students on day trips would be more of a problem - I've had that experience...... <BR> <BR>Thanks for any info you feel inclined to pass on.
