A week trip arriving in Milan and visiting Florence in April
Hello
My friend and I are traveling in April arriving in Milan. I like to revisit Florence and Tuscany.
Should we rent a car and drive from Milan to Florence? or Train is more convenient?
are there places to see along the way?
Where should we stay and shop n Milan?
I welcome any suggestions and interesting tenantry.
Thank you
H

I agree with Bob -- the train is a good choice. You could also stop at Parma or Bologna on the way from Milan to Florence. Both are wonderful cities.
As for where to stay in Milano, I recommend zona Brera west of Parco Sempione.
Enjoy your trip

In Florence we stayed at the Hotel Pitti Palace right next to the Ponte Vecchio across the bridge. A great little place with a roof top view you won't believe.

Thank you all for your kind replies.
Do you recommend visiting Lake Como? and if so should I drive to the lake or are there other modes of transportation?
Any suggestions for clubs and night life in Florence?
