Scarlett- That's almost exactly how I "find" my way back to one of my favorite Paris bistros of all: Chez Toutonne (sic?)

I just head west on St Germain from Blvd St Michel and when the streets get "short" enough that its a tiny walk to the river,,,,,I know I've found it!! Thanks for the help!

Best wishes, Dave

Elizabeth, I think it was your post about the Le Regent and travelling with your mom that finalized my decision to stay there. its funny that we had the same room.

stragic, the Jeu De Paume is right on the Place de La Concorde, on the edge of the Tuileries (and only a couple blocks from Angelina's!!). The exhibit is by reservation only before noon, and I don't know how to get reservations. We went at about 1PM. when we came out, around 2:30 or so, there was a very long line waiting to get in. Magritte is one of my favorites too, and you rarely get to see so much of his work in one place. They have several of his most famous works, including the "Empire of Light" on loan from the Guggenheim in Venice, and the "Chateau de Pyrenees", which is that painting of the giant, floating rock with a castle on top. My personal favorite was a painting called "Le Clairyvoyant" which showed an artist, looking over his shoulder at an egg, while painting a bird.
